1. Yuen Kee Café
1. Hooi Ji Wantan Noodles
Hooi Ji Wantan Noodles serves in the morning. Thick dark sauce hugged on to the springy wantan noodles with char siu on top. The wantan (soup dumplings) is smooth and matches the noodles well.
2. Ming Ji Wan Ton Noodle
Ming Ji Wan Ton Noodles operates at night in Yuen Kee Café. One of the best wan tan mee operating at night.
3. Yong Tau Fu
This yong tau fu stall sells at Yuen Kee Café at night. Yong Tau Foo is pretty popular in Bentong town, many choices available at the Yong Tao Foo stalls. It operates in the same coffee shop as Ming Ji Wan Ton Noodle and Hooi Ji Wan Ton Noodle.
2. Bentong Tau Fu Sdn Bhd
They are specialize in taufu business but without the AE86. Grab a bowl of the smooth and silky Bentong Tau Fu Fa with ginger syrup, perfect after meal dessert. Take away their thick but smooth soya milk served hot or cold in bottles, what’s better than freshly made soya milk. They sell taufu pop in pack for you to bring it home and cook, you can also try their taufu pop made into yong tau fu on the spot.
3. T.A.K Ice Cream Corner
What’s better than dessert on a sunny day? Enjoy a wide array of dessert on the menu, it is recommended by many to order cendol and ice kacang topped with ice cream. Seeing the busy crowd in the shop, will tell you how nice their desserts are.
4. Ah Wan Porridge
Never judge something according to its look, this porridge is the yummilicious porridge in whole Bentong town. Fill your tummy with a bowl of scrumptious porridge with choices of chicken porridge with pig’s heart, tongue and intestines. Recommended to try their porridge with deep fried crunchy pork intestine.
5. Kow Po Ice Cream
Kow Po is known for its great texture and unique flavours, they has been serving homemade ice creams for generations to the locals in Bentong and also to outsiders who are willing to make that trip down. Not only ice cream is sold here, there are also a variety of desserts to be topped with their ice creams such as shaved ice with toppings (ais kacang or ABC) and cendol. Not sure which to get? Just ask for their signature best-selling flavours.
6. Lemang To’Ki
Lemang To’Ki a very popular restaurant among the locals and domestic travellers. They are known for their lemang, glutinous rice with coconut milk cooked on fire in bamboo stick. They have a choices of set, lemang with chicken rendang or beef rendang. Try their signature fire grilled chicken (ayam bakar) and other local delights available.
7. EI’S Kitchen
Don’t be fooled by this restaurant, it may looks basic without any fancy interior or air conditioning in their cafe, but they do serve high end quality of wagyu and French rack. They have a wide array of drinks including red wine to go with your main course. Try their yummy western food cooked with lots of love by the chef to you.
8. Satay Warisan Pak Chu Bentong
The best satay in whole Bentong, order their freshly made satay of chicken, beef and mutton with their peanut dip. Pak Chu started their business and have been on-going since 1993, imagine how good the taste of the satay is, as well as their business.
